deciduous-111226_640Did you know that Rowe Woods, part of the Cincinnati Nature Center, is right here in Milford and spans over 1,025 acres (including 65 acres of old growth forest) and offering more than 16 miles of hiking trails?

If you haven’t explored The Rowe Woods, A Guided Bird Walk, on Saturday, June 28, 2014, from 8am-10am is the perfect introduction to one of Greater Cincinnati’s treasures. Naturalist, Bill Stanley, will lead this walk allowing you to observe young birds that are leaving the nest and others that are nesting for their second or third time this season. Bring your binoculars and meet the group in the Rowe Woods parking lot at 8am. Dress for the weather and bring your water bottle.

Any children you might be bringing a long might also like to participate in the Walking Stick Decorating activity from 10:30-11:30am in the visitor center. Make sure you plan for some extra time to explore all the visitor center has to offer.  You will also need to come back again to experience miles of beautiful trails that pass through Eastern deciduous forest, fields, streams and ponds.

The Cincinnati Nature Center-Rowe Woods is located at 4949 Tealtown Road, Milford, OH 45150.
